This is a good quality hammer. Had been using a borrowed Bosch hammer with slightly higher power specs. The Makita however in practice demolishes faster and feels as if it has more striking power.

The light weight makes it possible to use horizontally as well as vertically, which is very useful. The smooth startup and lack of any major vibration make it possible to use for extended periods of time without tiring.
My only complaints is that there arent longer digging blades available. A 24" digging blade would significantly reduce the need to bend over when digging holes.
Ive already thought of about 20 projects that this tool will help me with as soon as I finish this one. I just wish I had gotten one of these a long time ago.
